Enhancing Stakeholder Engagement Through Strategic Communication

AC Consulting proudly served as the Communications Consultant for the Digital Malawi Program Phase I: Digital Foundations Project, a government-led initiative aimed at laying the groundwork for Malawi’s digital transformation. The project is part of a broader strategy to improve internet connectivity, digital access, and public service delivery through ICT across the country.

Project Objective

The core objective of our assignment was to develop and implement a robust Communication Strategy to ensure effective, timely, and transparent communication between the project and all relevant stakeholders—ranging from government institutions to private sector players, civil society, and the general public.

Our Mandate and Focus Areas

As Communications Consultant, AC Consulting was responsible for the following:

  1. Development of a Comprehensive Communication Strategy
    We created a strategic roadmap for communication that aligned with the project’s goals, clearly defining key messages, audiences, channels, and timelines.

  2. Stakeholder Engagement and Messaging
    Our role involved crafting consistent, relevant, and engaging messages to promote stakeholder awareness, foster trust, and ensure buy-in from key actors throughout the implementation period.

  3. Use of Modern Communication Tools
    We incorporated social media, digital platforms, electronic media, and traditional outreach methods to disseminate project updates, promote transparency, and keep stakeholders informed.

  4. Internal and External Communication Support
    We facilitated smooth communication between the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and external stakeholders, ensuring that messages were timely, accurate, and well-received.

  5. Visibility and Brand Development
    We supported the development of communication materials—such as newsletters, brochures, press releases, infographics, and branded content—to enhance project visibility and public understanding.
